Well, I tried to get a picture of him smiling to show off his tooth, but it's too dark in his mouth to see. Oh well. And I posted the second pic because I thought it was cute. He is enjoying a Mum Mum, I think is what it is called. It is a rice rusk, like a cracker kind of, and it dissolves fairly quickly in their mouth so he won't choke. He likes holding onto it and then sticking it in his mouth and sucking on it. I've never heard of Mum mums, but saw it in the store and thought I'd give it a try.

Can you see my tooth?

Keeping Busy
So my husband is gone. He went to play golf. I'm trying to keep busy until he gets back. I don't want him to think I sit around and watch tv all day and do nothing! :) Keeping house with six kids is ridiculous. Especially when you have it up for sale. Luckily most everything is in storage so there is not a whole lot the kids can use to create a mess. But go figure, they will find something or do something to cause a mess. I started sewing a dress for Emily. Originally it was suppose to be for Kate, but I realized it would be too small, so Emily has inherited it. It would be nice to have a room where I could keep all my projects in and never have to put them away. I could just lock the door and kids couldn't get into it! But, that would probably require getting a bigger house, and after living in this home, I am determined to live in a smaller home. Smaller home, smaller area for kids to make a mess. Of course, I suppose my kids could use this same excuse for their bedrooms as well. "But mom, I am going to play with that later! I can't put it away now!" Anyways, that's my ramblings for now. Love you Todd!

12 lbs!
Woo hoo! Seth is 12 lbs! Had him weighed at the endocrinologist. He is growing well. He is really filling out in his cheeks and is starting to really resemble his older siblings. Seth is nine months old with an adjusted age of almost 6 months. It's crazy to think that at this time last year all of the unexpected began.

Week In Review
And then there's Seth. He only lasts a few minutes in the swing. Then he's done. Oh well. We have started feeding Seth baby cereal! Of course, we've only done it twice as it will probably take mom a while to remember to feed him cereal before she gives him a bottle. He likes to eat the cereal, so that's good. We had a checkup this past Tuesday and he weighs 11 lbs. 3 oz. Slowly and surely gonna inch his way up! He also had another evaluation done to see where he's at developmently and he's only slightly behind the five month old mark, which is his adjusted age so that was really exciting! He will be
nine months old on the 15th. He's so cute in the high chair! He sits barely above the tray and I have to put a towel next to him so he doesn't fall over! I've thought of getting him a walker or exersaucer, whatever they call them nowadays I have no clue, but anyways, then I thought, he's feet wouldn't touch the floor! The other super exciting thing is that Seth has his first tooth! I found it Thursday morning. We'd been suspecting a tooth for a little while and so I would check every morning and lo and behold, there it was! We're keeping an eye out for it's pair, but I don't know when that second one will join. He gets tired of mom sticking her finger in his mouth all the time.
Friday night we had a sleep over with the cousins. We had Teri's three girls and Lori's two boys. Eleven kids in the house! I tell you, I can't get over growing up, so I have to invite others over to relive those days! There were eleven of us kids growing up and for a year or so, all eleven of us kids lived in a four bedroom (yes, I suppose we count the dining room set up as a room) one bath home! Good memories. At the sleep over we had a system set up so that everyone had a turn playing Rock Band on the PS3. It went pretty well, I thought. It was a lot of fun. I will miss these times when we move away. We're heading to Washington, DC at the end of May.

Twelve Years
On Saturday Todd and I will celebrate our twelfth anniversary. Man, we were young. And skinnier. And dumber. Yes, I will admit we are a little wiser and have matured a little these past twelve years. At least I don't get mad at him anymore when he's late getting home from work! Or get upset because he should obviously know how I'm feeling and why, but he can't read my mind, I don't know why! Oh, the follies of newlyweds. I am so glad we've grown up a lot more too. But, I would never change one bit of it either. It's been the best twelve years of my life and it's only getting better! Looking forward to the next twelve and beyond!
Two reasons why I don't go to the mall
I can honestly say that I have not been to the mall in like four years! Ok, well, I did go to Sears once, but I never stepped foot outside of it. Well, Kate and Emily have decided that they want their ears pierced. Actually, I have been telling Kate for over a year that she could do it. We just never got around to it. Well, since this month both of the girls celebrate birthdays, I thought that maybe we could take them both to the mall and get it done. So, we go to the mall. The first reason why I remember why I don't go to the mall is because it is a reminder of how out of style I really am and how very little money I really have to spend on clothes. It's gonna take me a week to make myself feel better to know that it's ok to shop at Target and Walmart! :) Ok, I'll be alright. And the second reason why I don't go to the mall is because I now have two daughters who have discovered how fun the mall is! So, I promised them that we'd have a girl's night out and go shopping. We'll hit the girl's clothing shops so I don't have to remind myself of how I can't pair any clothing together. We were looking at one women's clothing store and Emily is picking stuff out for me. That's bad. Oh well, I was never very fashion consious anyways. Hey, if loafers were still in, I might be wearing them. Well, if I could get them past Todd anyways. I will admit, Todd buys me clothes. He is better about picking things out than me! I've got two girls who will be teenagers some day. I'll just wait to take lessons from them. hahaha
Here the girls are showing off their new earings. I was very impressed with Kate. She didn't even flinch, and she's the one I was worried about. She will not pull out any loose teeth because she is afraid of pain. So it will just sit there in her mouth forever. And whenever we have a flu shot, she gets real nervous. I was totally amazed. She did inform me that a shot hurts worse. And Emily isn't afraid of anything. She's my girl who will try almost anything. She is not scared. Although she still has a hard time asking Grandma for a drink of water. Go figure.
Kate is funny. She is so paranoid that her ears will get infected that she is adament about keeping them clean. She reminds Emily to make sure to rinse her ears off after shampooing and to not get any hairspray or anything on her ears. And she will not let me forget to clean them three times a day! And don't forget to rotate the earing so it heals right! That is good. I'm glad she's so anal about it. I can't remember how old I was. I was thinking I was like ten or twelve when I had my ears pierced. Of course I had no idea how much it cost back then, but I was a bit surprised at how much I had to spend on these two little girls. I probably will never have any clothes to wear that are in style because I will be spending all my money on them! And I'm sure I will be loving it as well. It's hard to see them grow up, but as long as you have fun with them, it's all worth it. Now, what do you do when your six year old son wants his ears pierced too? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
