Week In Review

Emily was baptized last Saturday, February 28th. We enjoyed having Todd's family come to it. Afterwards we had lunch and later that evening enjoyed dinner with some of the family as well. Emily wanted flowers for her baptism and so daddy picked out a nice bunch of flowers which included Calla Lillies. I love Calla Lillies! Oh well, they weren't for me. The cousins got to stay in between lunch and dinner and enjoyed playing Rock Band with us. Emily is an excellent guitarist on Rock Band. I only play the drums and sing, I haven't tried the guitar yet. It's amazing how fast kids grow! I still remember Emily as my sweet little baby. She was definatley the best baby ever. You could give her a cold bottle of milk and it didn't even faze her. She was always so happy and was very content. She loved the swing. I could let her swing for hours and she'd be just fine!
And then there's Seth. He only lasts a few minutes in the swing. Then he's done. Oh well. We have started feeding Seth baby cereal! Of course, we've only done it twice as it will probably take mom a while to remember to feed him cereal before she gives him a bottle. He likes to eat the cereal, so that's good. We had a checkup this past Tuesday and he weighs 11 lbs. 3 oz. Slowly and surely gonna inch his way up! He also had another evaluation done to see where he's at developmently and he's only slightly behind the five month old mark, which is his adjusted age so that was really exciting! He will be
nine months old on the 15th. He's so cute in the high chair! He sits barely above the tray and I have to put a towel next to him so he doesn't fall over! I've thought of getting him a walker or exersaucer, whatever they call them nowadays I have no clue, but anyways, then I thought, he's feet wouldn't touch the floor! The other super exciting thing is that Seth has his first tooth! I found it Thursday morning. We'd been suspecting a tooth for a little while and so I would check every morning and lo and behold, there it was! We're keeping an eye out for it's pair, but I don't know when that second one will join. He gets tired of mom sticking her finger in his mouth all the time.
Friday night we had a sleep over with the cousins. We had Teri's three girls and Lori's two boys. Eleven kids in the house! I tell you, I can't get over growing up, so I have to invite others over to relive those days! There were eleven of us kids growing up and for a year or so, all eleven of us kids lived in a four bedroom (yes, I suppose we count the dining room set up as a room) one bath home! Good memories. At the sleep over we had a system set up so that everyone had a turn playing Rock Band on the PS3. It went pretty well, I thought. It was a lot of fun. I will miss these times when we move away. We're heading to Washington, DC at the end of May.
