Someday I will weigh the big One O!

He's getting bigger! Seth is now weighing in at 9lbs 13 oz. Here real soon we'll reach the ten pound mark!

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and recieved five shots! Where do you put five shots in a guy like this! Besides his regular immunizations, Seth is getting the Synegis vaccine, which is to prevent RSV. He gets that one every month up until RSV season in over. He's really smiling a lot and is starting to talk in his own little garbled language. He'll lay there and look at you and just gurgle away! He had tubes put in his ears on December 15th to see if fluid was causing his hearing loss. Let me tell you, he came home a different man in many ways. First of all, he was extremely fussy (never heard so much noise in his life!)and stopped sleeping through the night. He also decided he didn't like his pacifier anymore, but the nipple from off his bottle would do the trick! He also went from sucking on his thumb to sucking on the other four fingers. And all of this happend overnight! Like we brought home a different baby! So, yet again we are getting use to him. Monday he had another hearing test done for follow up from placing the tubes in. I'm happy to say that his hearing has gone from Profound hearing loss to Mild hearing loss. This is really good. This means he can hear us, only it's probably real soft to him. Quiet sounds like the faucet dripping or birds singing, he can't hear. He'll probably be fitted for hearing aids here sometime in the near future. He's also not a big eater. He only takes about 2 1/2 ounces at a time. He's a sweet little guy!
Here he is in the bathtub. He enjoys it much more now. And he is getting better about being on his tummy. He's getting strong too! He'll lift his head and look around. He also loves to stand when you pick him up and hold him upright.

Snow

We recieved over a foot of snow a few weeks ago. Karsten out enjoying it. I've never seen this much snow come down all at once! It was fun playing in it and shoveling it!

The next day the trees were all covered in a furry frost! Even funky shapes had formed. Beautiful!
